The Pact

Okay so I have been reading this book that tells the story of three doctors who grew up as male inner city youth of the Philadelphia area in the 80s-90s. Growing up in the projects, many external forces worked hard to deter them from receiving an education and excelling to a professional career. With all the odds against them, the three young men make a pact to graduate high school, attend college, and go to medical school to become doctors.


However, their dream was not met without several roadblocks and obstacles along the way.

6th Month Transitioner - Anniversary

Hi All!

I am proud to say that at my second attempt to growing out my relaxer, I will approach my 6th Month anniversary of the transition with a flavorful attitude about my curl locks to come!

I love natural hair and this second journey has been so much more smoother than my first back in 2007!

I plan to be a long term transitioner...my motto "Grow some...cut some"....I aspire to have curly fros, blowouts, straw sets, ballerina buns, and pretty much whatever else that I want.

Date Night

Went to dinner at Olive Garden with a male friend....and didnt want to look too over dressed....Found this outfit to be very tre' chic!

A pair of black skinnys, a long sleeve blouse, and a blue cami underneath for effect. Finished the look off with a statement necklace! and my Madden black booties of course!

What I Wore Today

I was sorta feeling myself today.....

I had created my own little spin off of an outfit idea I found in InStyle Magazine.

Mixing prints with a solid jacket, wide leg trousers and some Oxford pumps.

Room Design

So I recently re-designed my room and I just love it. Now thinking about some wall decor ideas...any suggestions...

Note: the room used to be a peony -pink color with a dark purple accent wall. I am sooo in love with the neutral colors. So sophisticated and sexy!

I love room decoration and interior design....Thinking about doing my bathroom and guest room over in the spring....
